Masuria has long been associated with sailing, festivals, and waterside recreation. Recently, however, the region has been focusing on developing cycling routes, becoming one of the most interesting cycling destinations in Poland. One of the most important investments is the Masurian Cycling Loop (Mazurska Pętla Rowerowa), a trail spanning over 300 kilometers, allowing visitors to discover the Masurian Lake District and its picturesque landscapes from a completely different perspective.
The new Apartamenty Miejski Las development is located directly on the route and one of its observation towers on the Four Winds Mountain (Góra Czterech Wiatrów).
A new dimension of active recreation in Masuria

- Mazurska Pętla Rowerowa (Masurian Cycling Loop) – 283.5 km – one of the most interesting and longest cycling routes in Masuria, passing through most of the region’s most important towns. The route near Mrągowo offers numerous elevation gains and scenic views.
- Major Mrągowo Loop – 29.9 km – the trail leads through elevation gain around Wierzbowo and Probark, among forests and lakes.
- Yellow Ernst Wiechert Trail – 44.9 km – looping from Mrągowo through Piecki, Kosewo, and Czerwonki, it allows you to explore the diverse surroundings and smaller towns near Mrągowo.
- Hiking and cycling trail along the old railway embankment – 14.2 km – leading from Mrągowo to Piecki, where you can walk along footbridges. You can also take a walk along the educational trail around the pond or visit the local There are no restaurants, and the route is not very demanding. It’s worth stopping at the Fish and Honey fish and chip shop along the way, which offers local products, as well as fried and smoked fish.
- Red Trail Mikołajki – Mrągowo – Święta Lipka – 55.4 km – a hilly route towards Mikołajki or Święta Lipka. The route is picturesque and offers many interesting views along the way.
- Green Cycling Trail around Lake Juno – 19.9 km
- Krutyński Cycling Trail – 66.8 km – a route leading from Sorkwity along the lakes to Krutynia – the starting point for kayaking trips on the Krutynia River.
